Our approach to your website

Your successful web design project starts with a well-defined web design process and clearly defined marketing goals. At WebDirect, our approach to the design of your website starts with breaking the project into eight distinct phases. Initial Meeting

At WebDirect, understanding your needs and providing solutions for your business is our main priority. That starts with our first meeting with you, where we discuss and identify your online business objectives and what discover what solutions would meet those goals in the most efficient manner. We will:

Identify target audience
Discuss overall message of your website
Discuss the functionality needed to achieve your website goals
Work out timeline for completion

Proposal

After our first meeting, we will review our meeting notes and begin preparing a preliminary proposal that will display a range of options that will solve your needs. We will discuss these options further and refine it to meet your approval. Once the proposal is finalized and signed, we will begin building your web presence.

Provide a list of WebDirect modules that would best suit your needs
Review and refine this list to meet your approval
Write the final proposal and submit it to you for your approval
Begin building the website

Design

Our designers will begin to develop a series of webpage compositions that will match your overall message and target your customer base. The compositions will display navigation place, content areas, font styles and sizes, overall imagary style, color palette, etc. We will:

Design and submit 3 preliminary designs that meet your expectations from different design angles
Discuss these 3 design options with you and pick the best design ideas
Redesign the webpage composition to include those choices
Refine the overall design through 1 -2 revisions

Design Implementation

Once the final design composition has been signed for approval by the client, we proceed to build it into your new website. Our design implementation staff will build your new template shell to match the design and initialize and insert all the necessary WebDirect modules and functionality. Once the shell and modules are complete, we begin all the pages and insert your text and images into your new website. We will:

Develop the website template to match the approved design
Activate and insert all the necessary modules and elements
Build the webpages and navigation according to the approved sitemap
Insert your text and images into the webpages

Stage site QA

Once the website has been built on our stage server, we will have several of our staff go over the entire site to check for any inaccuracies or malfunctioning elements. After everything is correct, we will release the site for your review and quality assurance. If everything meets your approval will begin to lock down the site and prepare it for launch onto the live server.

Proofread and test all aspects of site in multiple browsers
Release the site for your approval
Repair any inaccuracies and get approval from client
Lock down site and prepare site for launch onto live server

Site Launch

Move all files to our live server. Make sure all domain names are pointing to the correct web location.

Live site QA

Once the website has been launched on our live server, we will have several of our staff go over the entire site to make sure that no files were missed and that everything is functioning correctly. After everything is correct, we will release the site for your review and quality assurance. If everything meets your approval we will release the site and schedule a training session so that you can operate and maintain your website.

Training

We will schedule a training session either on location or by conference call. Most training sessions only take 60 - 90 minutes depending on complex of website and number of modules and functionality being used. We can train one or multiple employees at your company. We highly recommend several people join the training session.
