A quick tip for locating content in the Admin when looking at the Website: If there's a long URL for the page, look at the text right after the ".com/" to identify the powering module.

The "FAQ" part of the URL lets me know this content page is powered by the FAQ Module

http://www.webdirectcms.com/BusinessListings/index.cfm?InstanceID=877
"BusinessListings" tells me this page is run through the Business Listings module.

Of course, this trick is utterly defeated when a page is using a ShortPath URL, which obscures the true dynamic URL. It does work often enough to come in handy, though!

As the stage and live Sites are independent of one another, any updates performed in the stage area must be performed a second time on the live Site. HTML code may be copied from the stage area to the live Admin, but all font styles, images and links will need to be updated after the move to correctly point to the live Site.

Certainly! We offer a large selection of readily available modular functionality add-ons for all WebDirect Sites. Technology provided by 3rd party vendors is often also compatible for integration into WebDirect Websites.

The Editor Window may be enlarged by one of two methods:

1. Click, hold and rag the lower right corner of the Editor Window downward to increase the vertical height of the content area.
2. Click the "Toggle fullscreen mode" icon in the top row of the Editor toolbar. A new full-sized Window will open with the content area enlarged for easier viewing and editing.

Hitting "Enter" on the keyboard while editing a content page in the WebDirect Admin will create a new paragraph, which also inserts a blank line of space between lines. To create a line break with no space between lines, hold "Shift" on the keyboard and the press "Enter" one time.

In the Asset Manager Window, click the link at the center of the bottom frame to "Search". Set the search parameters to help locate the file.

While logged into the WebDirect Admin, go to Site Modules > ShortPath. Click on the text name link of a ShortPath to view the target page in a new Window.

You must have the browser pop-up blocker disabled to utilize many of the Editor toolbar icons.

When a secure form is viewed on a Website, a small closed lock icon appears in the lower toolbar of the browser Window. An open lock icon indicates a form is not secure.

The WebDirect News module automatically generates XML RSS feeds. A link to an RSS feed may be inserted into any content page through the Insert/edit link feature.

Filters are available to set parameters, like a search, to better sort orders. Click the text Filters link at the top left of the Orders table to access filter search settings.
